Description
Bal d’Afrique is one of my first perfumes. In its formulation, I became obsessed with the idea of capturing memories in a scent. At the same time, I felt confident enough to include an imaginary component. My father was living and traveling in Africa for 10 or 15 years. I read his diaries, how he traveled on merchant ships and met all kinds of people… For me, it was the fantasy of reaching Africa through the words of another person. Bal d’Afrique reflects that It is an imaginary journey and a total celebration of my way of seeing African culture and its influence.
